Reverse Types I, II

Coins minted from 1862 through 1873 all have the date 1862.

The 1/4 Anna coin has two Reverse designs, which can most easily be identified by examining the leaves below the date.

Reverse I - There are two leaves, one below the first and one below the last digit of the date.
Reverse II - There is a single leaf below the center of the date.
"C" mint mark - Illustration of tiny mint mark is shown below.

"C" Mint Mark
"C" appears on dot below the middle of the date, below the space between the "8" and "7".
The "C" is incuse on the dot, and it is tiny and difficult to identify.
