Directions: From US 127, 1.4 miles north of Interstate 94 on the north side of Jackson, take Parnall Rd. 1.0 mile east, then Lansing Ave. 0.3 mile north, to the school. Meetings are located in the school library at the west end of the north building. Enter on the south side of the building (east most door). Guests and the public are always welcome.

The club generally meets at 7:00pm on the first and third Wednesdays during the months of September through May. Special meetings may be held in June, July or August as announced. Meetings are usually held at the address above. Check specific meeting announcements by date on the home page for special instructions in case the meeting place has been changed for that meeting.

Directions when arriving in Jackson by driving south on US 127:

  1. Take the PARNALL RD exit - go 0.2 mi
  2. Turn Right on W PARNALL RD - go 1.1 mi
  3. Turn Left on LANSING AVE - go 0.4 mi
  4. Arrive at 3737 LANSING AVE, JACKSON, on the Right (Parnall Elementary School, Phone: (517) 768-4500)

Jackson Camera Club meets at the near end of this building,
but you must enter at the far end of the building.

At end of one-way entrance the school is the building on the left.

The entrance away from the road (Lansing Ave.) should be unlocked.

Enter the door and turn left.

The library where the club meets is at the end of the long hall.

 

Typical meeting.
In this meeting the club was getting ready to view/judge digital photos.
In other meetings the judging/viewing may be of prints.
Check the meeting description for the specific meeting date to determine whether photos
will be digital or prints and to find the special subject for photos.
Pictorial and Nature categories are used every meeting in addition to the special subject.

 

Digital photos for viewing/judging can be loaded from various digital card types or USB flash drives.

 

Viewing and judging digital photos using digital projector.

After judging, photos are viewed a second time with members giving their critiques
and suggestions. These discussions can be quite lively.
